Two Children Hospitalized Following Boating Accident

(PINE BLUFF, Ark.) -- Two children were hospitalized over the weekend following a boating accident on Lake Langhofer, according to authorities in Pine Bluff.

The accident reportedly happened Saturday morning as the children -- ages nine and 10 -- were in a raft being pulled by a boat. Officials say at some point another boat passed near to the raft, after which, the driver of the second boat looked around and saw the two children in the water.

Both children were pulled from the water and taken to Jefferson Regional Medical Center. One of the children was later airlifted to Children's Hospital in Little Rock and is reported to be in critical condition.
