USA Drug Bought Out by Walgreens
(LITTLE ROCK, Ark.) – On Thursday Walgreens have confirmed they will buy Arkansas-based USA Drug for $438 million, according to Arkansas Online.
Stores operated by USA Drug, Super D Drug, May’s Drug, Med-Z and Drug Warehouse -- 144 locations in total -- located in Arkansas, Kansas, Mississippi, Missouri, New Jersey, Oklahoma and Tennessee will now be run by Walgreens.
The current stores will stay open under their original names, until Walgreens decides how to integrate all the stores under their branding.
The deal is expected to close on September 1, which includes the corporate offices and distribution center in Pine Bluff.
