Riverside Officer Killed During Foot Chase

(RIVERSIDE, Calif.) -- Police are on the lookout for a man who shot and killed a police officer Sunday night in Riverside. The incident occurred in Fairmount Park after police officer Ryan Bonaminio attempted to pull over a semi-truck off the 60 Freeway, believed to be in a hit-and-run-accident. The suspect then got out of his vehicle and began running away. While attempting to chase the suspect, the two exchanged gun fire. Bonaminio was rushed to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The suspect is still on the loose and the only known thing about him is that he was wearing dark clothing.
