Titans Receiver Insists Facebook Account Hacked
(NASHVILLE) -- It's his story and he's sticking to it.
Tennessee Titans wide receiver Kenny Britt reiterated to The Tennessean Wednesday that his Facebook account was hacked after status updates emanating from his page took shots at NFL commissioner Roger Goodell in addition to the claim he was retiring from football.
According to a reporter from the Newark Star-Ledger who caught the postings immediately, the messages on Britt's Facebook page Monday said "Retiring from the NFL. (Expletive) You Goddell (sic)."
In a statement to The Tennessean, Britt said, "I have the utmost respect for Commissioner Goodell, the NFL and the TN Titans," Britt said. "The Facebook posting as reported was not made by myself nor have I given any statements to anyone regarding this matter."
The NFL has yet to comment on the story.
