High Number of ATV Deaths in Tennessee, Report Says

(NASHVILLE, Tenn.) -- The state of Tennessee has had the seventh-most number of ATV deaths in the past thirty years, reports The Tennessean.

Tennessee has had 432 ATV deaths between 1982 and 2010, according to ATVSafety.gov. Still, the report does point out that the data from 2007-2010 is incomplete.

The American Academy of Pediatrics says no one under the age of 16 should operate an ATV, but the state of Tennessee does not have any age limits.  ATV use in Tennessee is common among young people.

Although the number of deaths in the state are high, Tennessee does offer ATV safety courses.
