Magneti Marelli Expansion to Add 800 New Jobs
(NASHVILLE, Tenn.) -- Automotive systems supplier Magneti Marelli has announced that it plans to expand its Pulaski site with an investment of $53.7 million -- a move that officials say will create some 800 new jobs.
The company will reportedly add a lighting operation to the Pulaski facility, a move that Governor Bill Haslam welcomes.
"Our Jobs4TN economic development strategy includes strong emphasis on several industry clusters, such as the automotive industry, in which the state holds a distinct competitive advantage and on expanding existing Tennessee businesses," Haslam said in a statement. "The addition of this lighting operation to the Pulaski site is welcome news to Giles County and the state."
