Unemployment Rates Increase in All Tennessee Counties

(NASHVILLE, Tenn.) -- A report released by the state Department of Labor and Workforce Development on Thursday shows that there was an increase in unemployment in all 95 Tennessee counties in June.

The counties with the highest unemployment rates are Scott County (18.5 percent), Obion County (14.8 percent), and Lauderdale County (13.5 percent).

Coming in with the lowest rates were Williamson County (5.9 percent), Lincoln County (5.9 percent), and Knox County (6.7 percent).

Tennessee's overall unemployment rate in June was 8.1 percent, up from 7.9 percent in May.
