Arrest Warrant Issued for Bank Robbery Suspect
(HOOVER, Ala.) -- On Thursday, Hoover detectives obtained a warrant for Robbery 1st Degree from Jefferson County District Attorney’s office for a bank robbery suspect, ABC affiliate WCFT/WJSU-TV reports.
Officials identified Anthony Djuan Jackson of Memphis, Tenn. as a bank robbery suspect for the May 31 robbery of the BB&T bank, located at 1596 Montgomery Highway. Police say a lone black male demanded money from the teller then fled in an unknown direction.
Jackson is currently being held at a Memphis prison for an aggravated assault charge. He is suspected of being involved in eight bank robberies in Tennessee, Alabama, Mississippi, Missouri and Illinois.
Hoover detectives are working with authorities across state lines to figure out Jackson’s involvement with these open cases.
