Man Steals Tractor-Trailer, Illegally Sells $100,000 Worth of Vitamins

(MEMPHIS, Tenn.) -- A man stole a truck full of vitamins and stopped in Memphis to sell the supplements from the back of the truck.

Edwin Juarbe, 44, was caught on Saturday when police responded to a report of a man selling items from the back of a truck. When they arrived, police were told that Juarbe was hiding in a nearby backyard.

Police located him and later determined that the tractor-trailer, worth over $80,000, had been stolen.

Juarbe was supposed to drive the truck from Virginia to Arizona, but instead disabled the truck's GPS in Memphis. He sold the pills for money or drugs, eventually using the money to buy more drugs.

Juarbe is charged with theft of property and will be held on $40,000 bond.
