Pablo Cruise Releases First New Recording in More Than a Quarter Century
Red Red RecordsA concert CD/DVD from Pablo Cruise titled It's Good to Be Live hit stores this week, marking the first time in more than 25 years that the 1970s pop act has released a new recording. The double disc features performances from a 2010 show in Northern California, and includes renditions of the group's classic hits "Love Will Find a Way," "What'cha Gonna Do?," "Cool Love" and "A Place in the Sun."
In addition to the live tunes, the CD includes new studio versions of "Love Will Find a Way" and "A Place in the Sun." The DVD, meanwhile, features a performance of the tune "El Verano" that doesn't appear on the CD, as well as an interview with the band members.
Pablo Cruise's current lineup boasts three of the band's four original members -- guitarist David Jenkins, keyboard player Corey Lerios and drummer Steve Price. Former Jeff Beck/Air Supply/Kenny Loggins sideman Larry Antonino has stepped in to take the place of founding bassist Bud Cockrell, who passed away last year.
