One Republic Preps New Christmas Song, Plans New Single for March

Facebook.com/OneRepublicOneRepublic will release their third album in 2012, but to tide fans over, they've got a new Christmas single prepped and ready to go.  The band wrote on Twitter that the song is called "Christmas Without You," and added that it'll be coming to iTunes "very soon."  As for what it sounds like, the band wrote, "We went old school, doesn't sound like ANYTHING we've done. We want it timeless [like] Crosby [and] Sinatra...obviously we're none of those artists, this is a nod to them and that era. Nothing slick."

As for the new album, the band writes on Twitter, "1st single, aiming for late march/april, album after that. Probably release other singles before full album too."

Meanwhile, OneRepublic frontman Ryan Tedder says he's pleased with the job that Faith Hill has done covering the band's song "Come Home."  It's the first single from her forthcoming album, her first collection of new material in over five years.  On Twitter, Ryan wrote, "LOVE IT.  It's not a cover -- it's hers -- she took it to another level. She owned it & beat it."
