Forever 21 Pulls Kurt Cobain-Inspired T-Shirt

Frank Micelotta/Getty ImagesNirvana fans flipped out when they learned that the clothing retailer Forever 21 had begun selling a T-shirt that was seemingly inspired by Kurt Cobain. The T-shirt, RollingStone.com notes, resembled one Cobain designed with a magic marker, featuring the word "Flipper" above a fish with an "x" for an eye. He famously wore the shirt during a 1992 performance on Saturday Night Live.

In the wake of backlash from Nirvana fans over the past week, Forever 21 has pulled the shirt from its website. It retailed for $16.90.

In recent months, Forever 21 has also caught flak for marketing an “Allergic to Algebra” T-shirt and an "Oriental Girl Necklace" to teens.
