Tim McGraw Carries On Despite Legal Battle with Record Label
Tim McGraw's Emotional Traffic tour continues, even though the Emotional Traffic album is tied up in a legal battle between Tim and Curb Records.
Curb sued Tim for breach of contract claiming, he delivered the new album too soon after his 2009 offering, Southern Voice. Tim countersued, seeking damages and a jury trial. Since it doesn't look like fans can buy Emotional Traffic anytime soon, Tim is getting the new music out to the fans in his concerts.
As for the lawsuits, Tim tells Billboard.com, "Right now, it's just a matter of letting the legal system handle this." He adds, "I've always been a good, honest guy and done the work the way it needed to be done and fulfilled whatever I've been obligated to do. All you can do is hope our good faith pays off in the end."
"Right now it's just a matter of letting the legal system handle this," McGraw says. "All I can do is keep doing what I do. I've always been a good, honest guy and done the work the way it needed to be done and fulfilled whatever I've been obligated to do. All you can do is hope our good faith pays off in the end."
Tim is currently singing the Emotional Traffic songs "Right Back at You" and "Halo" in his shows. His latest number-one hit, "Felt Good on My Lips," was recorded for Emotional Traffic but was included on his Number One Hits compilation last year.
