Ron Wood Sober More than a Year Now

RonnieWood.comRonnie Wood, whose battles with alcohol are the stuff of legend, has apparently been sober now for over a year. Spinner.com reports that the Rolling Stones guitarist has been more successful this time around than in the past in his fight to stop drinking. Says Wood, “Sixteen months now. The war is over. I’m not fighting or struggling.”
As part of his sobriety, however, Wood has cut ties with some of his friends -- including supermodel Kate Moss. He explains, “You’ve got no time for anybody who [will] say ‘Put aside what you’re doing. Let’s go and get ripped.’ Kate’s a [friend] but I don’t see a lot of her these days.”
In other news, Wood’s son Tyrone recently suffered a concussion and a broken arm after being attacked with a baseball bat while in Greece.
