Jennifer Hudson, Black Eyed Peas Join Michael Jackson Tribute Concert Lineup

MichaelJackson.comMore stars continue to join the lineup of Michael Forever, the Michael Jackson tribute concert taking place October 8 in Cardiff, Wales.  MTV reports that the Black Eyed Peas and Jennifer Hudson are both on board for the show, which will also feature Christina Aguilera, Cee-Lo Green, Leona Lewis and Smokey Robinson, among other acts.

Before his death, Michael Jackson was working with Black Eyed Peas frontman Will.I.Am on new music.  Jennifer Hudson sang at his memorial service.  According to MTV, the promoters issued a statement in which Will is quoted as saying, "This show is going to be an incredibly personal and moving evening for me.  Remember that Michael's music, his great, great songs, have been an inspiration to my whole life and certainly formed the soundtrack to my childhood."

Michael's brother Marlon Jackson, one of the Jackson siblings who is not boycotting the concert, said in a statement, "We're all really delighted and touched that the Black Eyed Peas are able to come and take part ," he said.  "My brother rated Will.i.am and the original things he does in music very highly.  I guess you could say it was a case of mutual respect."

Jamie Foxx will host the show, which will reportedly feature a videotaped appearance by Beyonce.  The show is being presented in conjunction with Michael's mother Katherine, but several of the Jacksons, including Jermaine and Janet, will not attend because they don't like the fact that it coincides with the trial of Dr. Conrad Murray, who has been charged with manslaughter in the King of Pop's death in June of 2009.
