Dave Grohl Discusses Sound City Documentary

Didier Messens/RedfernsAs previously reported, Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl has been working on a new documentary about Sound City Studios, where he and Nirvana recorded the band's 1991 iconic album Nevermind.  In the latest issue of Rolling Stone, Grohl explained what motivated him to make the forthcoming film. “When Sound City closed last year, it was a very sad day,” noted Grohl.  “I decided to make a film about that feeling you get when you put five guys in a room, hit “record,” and the hair on the back of your neck stands up."  The singer hinted that there will be some live performances included the film saying fans should "expect some epic jam sessions.”
