Free Download of John Fogerty's "Fortunate Son" Performance from "The Finder" Available Now

Isabella Vosmikova/FOXAs promised, John Fogerty has made a stripped-down version of "Fortunate Son"  available as a free download at his official website.  The version was performed on the series premiere of Fox's The Finder this past Thursday.

Fogerty posted two links where fans can grab the track, which features the ex-Creedence Clearwater Revival frontman singing the classic tune accompanied only by his electric guitar.  Don't wait too long -- the download is only scheduled to be accessible until this Thursday, January 19.

Fogerty made his acting debut in the episode, playing himself.  The rocker's segment kicked off the show, and involved The Finder's main character -- a detective with special abilities that allow him to find missing things --- returning Fogerty's favorite guitar to him after it was stolen.

As previously reported, Fogerty also wrote The Finder's theme song -- a mainly instrumental ditty titled "Swamp Water."  If you missed the premiere episode, you can watch it streaming on demand at Fox.com.
