Metallica to Perform "Black Album" at Sonisphere Festival in Spain & Finland

Andrew Caballero-Reynolds/Getty ImagesMetallica will headline both Sonisphere Fesitval events -- in Finland and Spain -- this summer, festival producers have announced.  The band, which has performed at every Sonisphere since the festival began in 2009, will play its classic, self-titled 1991 album, better known as  "The Black Album," in its entirety at both appearances.

Other bands set to hit the stage for the Spanish edition of the fest include Soundgarden, Slayer and Mastodon.  Finland's lineup will feature Machine Head and Amorphis.  Spain's event will take place on May 26 at Getafe Open Air in Madrid, and Finland's edition of the fest will take place on June 4 at Kalasatama in Helsinki.
