One of the big secrets to Zac Brown Band's success is the art of collaboration. That give and take among the band members is a sign of maturity it's taken front man Zac Brown years to get right.
Band member Clay Cook tells the Cleveland Plain Dealer, "Zac's been through a couple of members in the past, and if the guys didn't have that collaborative type of thing, he got rid of them."
The lineup now has the right amount of touring and life experience to pull off that Zac Brown Band sound.
Clay continues, "We're the right personalities at the right age. At 20, I wasn't able to be as fair and collaborative as I am at 34."
Zac Brown Band is touring hard through October and November, with a November 17 headlining show at New York City's Madison Square Garden on the books.
