Kelly Clarkson's New Single "Catch My Breath" Now Online

RCA RecordsKelly Clarkson's new single "Catch My Breath," from her forthcoming greatest hits album, won't go on sale until October 15, but it's now online for you to listen to.

Kelly has described the song as representing "who I’ve been, what I’ve felt and where I’m headed as not only an artist but as a 30-year-old that is now smart enough to know that it’s time to stop, catch my breath and be proud of not only what has been accomplished but of all the people that have helped me become the woman I am today.”  And the lyrics seem to reflect that.

"I've spent most of my time catching my breath/letting it go/turning my cheek for the sake of the show," Kelly sings.  "Now that you know/this is my life/I won't be told what's supposed to be right."  The defiant lyrics also state, "No one can hold me back/I ain't got time for that/won't let 'em get me down/It's all so simple now."

In addition, Kelly seems to reference her newfound romance with Brandon Blackstock, singing, "Addicted to the love I found/Heavy heart now a weightless cloud/making time for the ones that count."

"Catch My Breath" is the first track from Kelly's Greatest Hits -- Chapter 1, which is due out November 16.
