Miranda Lambert has a secret weapon on the road when it comes to staying in shape -- her personal trainer Bill Crutchfield. According to WebMD.com, he started traveling with her in January to make sure she sticks to a diet and workout plan. Since they're traveling across the country, Bill has to get creative when it comes to planning Miranda's exercises.
Instead of hitting the gym, Bill puts Miranda through intense workouts using the items around them on tour. That may include running up and down a long staircase in a concert venue or using a nearby park bench for pushups.
Bill also works with the tour caterer to make sure Miranda sticks to a low carb, high protein diet, but he still lets her have small portions of her favorite junk food like Cheetos. It's all part of a larger lifestyle change for Miranda.
She says, "I feel like if you're on one of these diets where your heart's not in it, it's not going to help you. Now, I know making a lifestyle change will work better than a diet in the long run."
Getting Miranda to agree to all of this diet and exercise is a big part of Bill's job too. Bill only has to remind Miranda of an upcoming video or photo shoot to make her work a little harder though. Right now, Miranda is gearing up for a performance on the 46th Annual CMA Awards, airing live on ABC Thursday, November 1.
