Mariah Carey seems to have taken the high road in her much-hyped "feud" with fellow American Idol judge Nicki Minaj, which involved Nicki cursing at Mariah and, according to Ms. Carey, threatening her. But another legendary diva says that if she were in a similar situation, she would have murdered the rapper.
Speaking to The Daily while promoting her new documentary, In Your Dreams, Stevie Nicks commented on the Mariah/Nicki feud by saying, "How dare this little girl! … If I had been Mariah, I would have walked over to Nicki and strangled her to death right there."
Stevie, who got rave reviews as a mentor on American Idol last season, added, "I would have killed her in front of all those people and had to go to jail for it."
This particular incident hasn't soured Stevie on the concept of American Idol, however. She tells The Daily that if she and Fleetwood Mac bandmate Lindsey Buckingham were starting out today, they would "absolutely" have auditioned for the show...or The Voice or The X Factor, for that matter. Though according to Stevie, Lindsey would not have been a willing participant.
"I would have had to drag [him] kicking and screaming. He probably would have given them the finger," she says.
