Nelly's tweeted that he's "MAD as Hell" about someone bringing heroin, weed and a loaded pistol on his tour bus. As previously reported, Nelly's bus was stopped at a border patrol checkpoint in Sierra Blanca, Texas, where officials discovered three dozen small baggies of heroin, more than ten pounds of marijuana and a loaded pistol on the vehicle.
According to Hudspeth County Sheriff’s Office, Nelly and five others were free to go after one of the passengers, Brian Keith Jones, took responsibility for the drugs and gun.
Still, Nelly tweets that he feels the sting of having an employee and longtime friend "jeopardize ur life." Nelly writes that Jones is "fam," and someone who protected his life, but there are "No excuses for [what] he did!!!!"
Nevertheless, Nelly says that his heart goes out to Jones' kids and the rest of his family.
As of Friday afternoon, Jones was awaiting a bond hearing, according to the Hudspeth County Sheriff’s Office.
