Joe Walsh to Appear on ESPN's "Sunday NFL Countdown" This Weekend

JoeWalsh.comLongtime Eagles guitarist Joe Walsh will pay a visit to ESPN's pro football pre-game show Sunday NFL Countdown this weekend at the sports network's studios in Bristol, Connecticut.  The rocker, who composed the program's unofficial anthem, "Funk #50" -- a re-worked version of his classic James Gang tune "Funk #49" -- will be on hand to perform the tune live and chat a bit with host Chris Berman.

Walsh also will play segments of his solo hit "Life's Been Good," as well as his memorable tune "In the City."

He says of his appearance, "I don't know exactly what I'm going to do on ESPN Sunday NFL Countdown but it will be loud."

The guitar whiz, who happens to be an avid football follower, also offers his two cents about the previous NFL season, which saw the New York Giants defeat the New England Patriots in the Super Bowl.  "I thought the [Baltimore] Ravens were going to take it…but I can't be a fan because I'm from Cleveland," he notes.  The Ravens were the original Cleveland Browns franchise before moving to Maryland in 1996.

Sunday NFL Countdown airs on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. ET.
