Heart's Ann Wilson to Sing National Anthem at Thanksgiving Day Cowboys Game

Heart-Music.comHeart's Ann Wilson has been tapped to belt out the national anthem at the Dallas Cowboys' annual Thanksgiving Day game, which will see them taking on the Washington Redskins starting at 4:15 p.m. ET.  The game will air live on Fox.

In a statement, the Cowboys' executive V.P. of brand management said, "Ann Wilson’s extraordinary voice will bring a new and exciting energy to the national anthem and the kickoff of our legendary Thanksgiving Day matchup."

The game serves as the start of the Salvation Army's Red Kettle Campaign, which has raised more than $1.5 billion dollars in the 16 years since the organization first partnered with the Cowboys.

Ann and Heart are finishing up their 2012 tour this week in support of their new album Fanatic.  They'll hit the road again starting in January for another round of dates.
