Eagles guitarist Joe Walsh will be the guest star on the 60th installment of Daryl Hall's acclaimed web and TV series, Live from Daryl's House, which premieres Thursday night at LFDH.com and on the Palladia network.
In the episode, Daryl and Joe team up for six songs, including Walsh's solo classics "Rocky Mountain Way" and "Life's Been Good," his memorable James Gang tune "Funk 49/50" and a song titled "Wrecking Ball" from his new solo effort, Analog Man. The duo also performs a pair of songs from Hall & Oates singer's solo catalog, "Somebody Like You" and "Wrong Side of History (So Cold)."
In a statement, Joe says of his experience with Daryl, "He's been a favorite of mine for a long time…It was great to finally play some music with him. The band's great, the production crew's great and I totally support the homegrown concept."
Hall also shares some high praise for Walsh, who, he says, "was one of the first to take that blues-rock groove and really funk it out. He's one of the great guitar legends, an amazing musician. I couldn't wait to play with him."
The show also features Walsh discussing what inspired him to take up the guitar and his feelings about the state of pop music. In addition, the musicians are shown being treated to a Mexican meal cooked up by New York City chef Julieta Ballesteros.
Besides streaming online and airing on Palladia, Live from Daryl's House is shown on select syndicated TV stations; check your local listings.
