Rod Stewart to Sing on NBC's "Christmas in Rockefeller Center" Special

Photo: Penny LancasterRod Stewart recently released his first holiday album, Merry Christmas, Baby, so who better to help celebrate the lighting of New York City's famed Christmas tree this year?  The singer is among the stars who will perform during Christmas in Rockefeller Center, NBC's annual TV special focusing on the festive yuletide event in the Big Apple.

The hour-long program, which will air Wednesday, November 28, at 8 p.m. ET, also will include special appearances by Bette Midler and Billy Crystal, as well as performances from Mariah Carey, Cee Lo Green, country star Trace Adkins and more.

Expect all of the music artists on the special to treat viewers to a mix of current hits and Christmas classics.  In select markets, the special will begin at 7 p.m. and feature an extra hour of holiday fun.
