One Direction Among Barbara Walters "Most Fascinating People of 2012"

Daly/PictureGroupNow, the members of One Direction know that they've truly made it.  The British boy band will be featured on Barbara Walters' annual Most Fascinating People special, which airs next month on ABC.

In the special, Walters will run down the year's most prominent people in the fields of entertainment, sports, politics and popular culture.  There are 10 people in all, and in addition to One Direction, Walters will also highlight 50 Shades of Grey writer EL James, Ben Affleck, Hillary Clinton, Olympic Gold medalist Gabby Douglas, New Jersey governor Chris Christie and Family Guy creator Seth McFarlane. 

Barbara Walters Presents: The 10 Most Fascinating People of 2012  will air December 12 at 9:30 p.m. ET.  The #1 most fascinating person of the year won't be revealed until that night.
