We're not sure if trying on clothes counts as an aerobic exercise, but when Jennifer Hudson isn't hitting the gym, she's sometimes hitting the stores. The Weight Watchers spokesperson tells Inside Edition that her fitness plan includes staying active. "And you know what? Shopping is one of my activities," Jennifer says.
Yes, perusing the racks, and toting around bags has helped Jennifer keep off the weight. "It's kinda like, I look at it like exercise," Jennifer says. "It keeps my mind off of eating. So, instead of eating, I'm gonna go shop."
J-Hud admits that sometimes she gets sidetracked from keeping track of her calories, "but it's OK," she says. She just re-focuses, and commits herself to doing the big and little things that will help her in the long run. That includes stuff like taking the stairs instead of the elevator, she tells Inside Edition.
Last week, Jennifer showed off her svelte figure on the red carpet of a special shopping event she hosted in New York City with Lucky magazine. A portion of the proceeds from the event went to the Julian D. King Gift Foundation, a non-profit organization, named in honor of Jennifer's slain nephew.
Jennifer, who appears on the cover of Lucky's January 2013 issue, has been working on her own line of clothes. "It's about my own personal style, which I wanted to make more affordable for my fans," Jennifer tells Inside Edition. Her JH Collection is available through QVC.
