John Legend Returning to His Hometown for a Holiday Bash

ABC/Rick RowellJohn Legend is going back to high school.  The singer will drop in on his brother Vaughn Anthony's Holiday Bash at the Springfield High School cafetorium in their hometown, Springfield, OH, on December 22.

Vaughn isn't quite sure how long his brother will be on stage, reports the Springfield News-Sun.  Nevertheless, the Grammy Award-winner is slated as a guest performer, along with a dozen local acts on the roster.

According to the Springfield News-Sun, proceeds will help the local YMCA in its efforts to replace the roof above its youth department.  Money also will go to organizing football and basketball camps for Springfield kids, Vaughn tells the newspaper.

The Springfield News-Sun reports that this will be John's first performance in his hometown since 2008.
