R. Kelly's "One Wing," "Django Unchained" Tracks Eligible for Oscar Consideration

Facebook.com/RKelly"One Wing," the song R. Kelly wrote for this year's Sparkle remake is one step closer to earning an Oscar nomination. The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences on Tuesday announced that "One Wing," recorded by Jordin Sparks, is one of 75 songs eligible for contention in the original song category.

"Freedom," the song recorded by Anthony Hamilton for the upcoming movie Django Unchained, is also eligible for 2013 Oscar consideration.  Also on the list are Rick Ross' "100 Coffins" and John Legend's "Who Did That to You?" from the Django Unchained soundtrack.

The five songs that receive the most votes from voting members of the music branch of the academy will receive nominations. The Oscar nominees will be announced January 10.
