Fantasia was just a baby when the Commodores released their 1985 hit "Nightshift," but she seems right at home, adding her own lyrics to the track for her latest single "Lose to Win." On the track, Fantasia sings about ditching a guy who won't do the work to keep their relationship going.
"You ain't here for dinner/like I'm a beginner/ I loved you for your inner, inner/ and the next guy is out there/ somewhere..." Fantasia sings about moving on, on the mid-tempo tune.
Fantasia's "Lose to Win" single will likely appear on her new album, which is expected out next year.
In other Fantasia news, the singer has posted a note on Instagram, revealing that her brother Teeny was robbed at gunpoint earlier this week. "WHY PEOPLE FEEL THEY CAN TAKE FROM SOMEONE? I DON'T KNOW!! BUT THOSE WHO LIVE BY THE SWORD WILL DIE BY THE SWORD..." she writes. In her caption, she tells Teeny that she loves him, and that material things can be replaced.
