Two Grateful Dead Concert DVDs to Be Reissued in February

Shout! FactoryA pair of archival Grateful Dead concert DVDs are scheduled to be re-released by the Shout! Factory label later this winter.  The videos, Dead Ahead and Ticket to New Year's, both will hit stores on February 12.

Dead Ahead captures highlights from the band's October 1980 shows at New York City's Radio City Music Hall.  The video boasts 23 performances, including renditions of "Ripple," "Mexicali Blues," "Don't Ease Me In," "Fire on the Mountain," "Not Fade Away," "Good Lovin'," "Shakedown Street" and "Truckin'."

Ticket to New Year's, meanwhile, documents a historic show that the band played on December 31, 1987, at the Oakland Coliseum.  The Dead played for more than two and a half hours, and delivered a set that included classics like "Bertha," "Uncle John's Band" and "Terrapin Station."  The DVD also offers a special "visible lyrics" option, band member biographies and a "Dead Facts" quiz.

Dead Ahead and Ticket to New Year's can be pre-ordered now at ShoutFactory.com for $13.98.  Both videos also were included in the 14-DVD Grateful Dead compilation All the Years Combine, which was released this past April.
