Rod Stewart to Launch North American Tour with Steve Winwood in the Spring

Universal Music GroupRod Stewart will be hitting the road this coming spring with a fellow Rock and Roll Hall of Famer, Steve Winwood, for a series of North American dates.  Stewart's Live the Life tour is scheduled to get under way on April 10 in Chicago and is plotted out through a May 1 concert in Toronto.

The singer announced his tour plans during a recent visit to Live! with Kelly and Michael.  "I'm thrilled to be touring with Steve Winwood," Rod said.  "He is truly part of rock and roll's enduring tapestry."

Currently, Stewart is riding high on the success of his first-ever holiday album, Merry Christmas, Baby, which has been in the top 10 of the Billboard 200 chart since it debuted a few weeks ago.  He also has been promoting his recently-published memoir, Rod: The Autobiography.

Winwood, of course, is famous for his stints as frontman of The Spencer Davis Group and Traffic, as well as his acclaimed solo recordings.  He'll be opening the shows with Stewart.

Rod also will be bringing his Live the Life outing to the U.K. and Ireland in June.  Visit RodStewart.com, to find out more details about the tour.
