Rihanna Ties Janet Jackson for Most #1 "Billboard" Dance/Club Hits

Island Def JamThanks to uptempo remixes of her single "Diamonds," Rihanna has bagged her 19th #1 hit on Billboard's Dance/Club Play Songs chart.  That means that Rih is now tied with Janet Jackson for the second-most chart-topping hits on the dance/club list.

Overall, 25 of Rihanna's songs have landed on the special dance/club chart.  Her 19 #1s include last year's "We Found Love,"  "Where Have You Been" and "You Da One."  Her first dance/club chart-topper was 2005's "Pon De Replay."

But even with so many #1 hits on the dance list, Rihanna still has quite a way to go before she catches up with Madonna.  The veteran performer has scored a whopping 43 top tracks on the Billboard Dance/Club Play Songs chart.
