The Zac Brown Band is no stranger to collaboration, having scored hits with the likes of Jimmy Buffett and Alan Jackson in the past few years. Their Southern Ground Music & Food Festivals have also given them the chance to perform with the likes of John Mayer, Sheryl Crow and Gregg Allman among others this year. In an interview with JamBands.com, Zac Brown Band fiddler player Jimmy DiMartini says they took a page from one of rock music's most revered groups when it comes to sharing the stage with other artists.
"One of our biggest inspirations was The Band and play with as many musicians as you can," Jimmy says. "If you have the power to play with your favorite musicians you should do it."
Of course, the Zac Brown Band is built upon the collaboration between all of its individual members. They'll return to the stage December 29 in Birmingham, AL, which is the hometown of the group's drummer Chris Fryar.
