Courtesy of WE tvAfter a few delays, Tamar Braxton's new single "Love and War" is finally available for download. The song arrived on iTunes Thursday, along with a Twitter endorsement from someone who might be considered an unlikely fan: Mother Monster, herself, Lady Gaga.
The pop star -- who is managed by Tamar's hubby, Vince -- took to Twitter to spread the word about Tamar's new single. "It would mean a lot to me monsters if u would support her. Its her turn to shine..." Gaga tweeted to her fans, the Little Monsters.
Tamar retweeted the message, followed by an update introducing her Tamartians fanbase to Gaga's crew: "#Tamartians have u met your 1st cousins the Monsters?? Thank u guys so much 4 buying my single #LoveAndWar!! It really means so much!! I [heart] u."
Tamar's long-awaited "Love and War" single, features her singing about the ups-and-downs of love over a soaring track. "And truth be told/ I'm waving my flag, before it goes bad/ Cause we made it this far, on for better or worse/ I wanna feel it, even if it hurts," Tamar sings.
Along with Gaga, Tamar's sister Toni Braxton is getting behind the song, too. "So proud of my baby sister @TamarBraxtonHer !!! #loveandwar is #2 on iTunes! Make sure you guys go support and purchase the new single! :)" Toni tweeted.
"Love and War" is set to appear on Tamar's yet untitled sophomore album, which is slated for release early next year. Back in September, Tamar told ABC News Radio that she had some "great records" on the new project. "If they were not mine I would want them to be mine. I do feel like this is my best work yet," she said.
