Officials reported that they found the anti-anxiety drug Xanax, the muscle relexant Cyclobenzaprine, and Olanzapine, which is used to treat symptoms of schizophrenia and bipolar disorder, near her body.
According to the report, Carter's stepmother, Ginger Carter, told authorities that Leslie had "a long history of mental illness and was on medication for her depression." The report says a seemingly depressed Leslie fell in the shower on Monday morning and stopped breathing later in the day.
It should take four to six weeks before the Chautauqua County coroner's office receives results of toxicology reports and determines a cause of death.
The report also notes that Ginger Carter appeared to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol, or both, when officials responded to the family's 911 call. Authorities say they will attempt to interview her again at a time when she is "more alert."
Nick Carter will address his sister's death on Friday's edition of Good Morning America on ABC.
