Stevie Wonder has been added to the star-studded lineup of the Keep Memory Alive organization's 16th annual Power of Love Gala, which is scheduled to take place February 18 at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. The event will celebrate Muhammad Ali's recent 70th birthday while honoring the boxing legend's support of the fight against neurological diseases. Money raised by the extravaganza will go toward the Cleveland Clinic Lou Ruvo Center for Brain Health and the Muhammad Ali Center.
Among the many other celebrities slated to hit the stage during the gala are Aerosmith's Joe Perry, ex-Van Halen singer Sammy Hagar, former Guns N' Roses guitarist Slash and acclaimed jazz saxophonist Dave Koz. The event also will feature appearances by a bevy of other famous boxers and luminaries from the world of sports.
Highlights from the extravaganza will be featured in a TV special titled Ali 70th from Las Vegas, which ABC will broadcast on February at 4 p.m. ET and 2 p.m. PT. An encore screening of the show also will air on ESPN2 that night at 10:00 ET.
