Meat Loaf has announced initial dates for a new North American summer trek called the Mad, Mad World tour. The singer will introduce North American fans to his latest studio effort, Hell in a Handbasket, on the outing, which launches with a June 22 show in Austin, Texas, and currently is plotted out through an August 4 concert in North Bay, Canada.
The powerhouse performer will be accompanied by his longtime backing outfit The Neverland Express. More dates are expected to be added to the trek soon.
"People who come to Meat Loaf shows know what to expect," the powerhouse performer said in a statement about the tour. "They know they're going to get full-on energy with the best rock 'n' roll band in the world. That's not an opinion. That's the truth."
