Heart's Ann and Nancy Wilson have joined the lineup for the eighth annual MusiCares MAP Fund Benefit Concert, which will take place May 31 at the Club Nokia in Los Angeles. Billy Idol and former Guns N' Roses bassist Duff McKagan also have signed on to perform at the event, which will include a previously announced live set by Alice in Chains.
In addition to the performances, Alice in Chains guitarist/singer Jerry Cantrell will receive the Stevie Ray Vaughan Award, which recognizes his support of the MusiCares MAP Fund. Sony/ATV Music Publishing Senior Consultant Neil Lasher also will be honored that evening, with the From the Heart Award.
The MusiCares MAP Fund provides members of the music community access to addiction-recovery resources, including emergency financial assistance for basic living expenses and medical expenses.
