Kelly Clarkson Scores Her First Digital Triple Platinum Single

RCA RecordsKelly Clarkson's "Stronger" keeps moving from strength to strength.  According to Yahoo!'s Chart Watch blog, the song has now topped the three million mark in digital sales.  It's her first song to sell that many copies, even though it's her most recently-released song.  Previously, her biggest seller had been "My Life Would Suck Without You," which now stands at around 2.6 million copies.

According to Chart Watch, "Stronger" is only the third song by an American Idol artist to go triple platinum digitally.  The other two are Carrie Underwood's "Before He Cheats," which is at about 3.5 million copies now, and "No Air" by Jordin Sparks with Chris Brown, which has sold about 3.4 million copies.  But since "Stronger" is still selling fast, it's like to go on to become the top-selling digital single by any American Idol alum.
