Josh Turner Transforms Writing Cabin into Museum

CMAOne of Josh Turner’s prized possessions is his new writing cabin just south of Nashville.

“I tell people this is obviously where I work, but it’s also kind of a museum,” the history buff says.  In addition to artifacts from various American wars, Josh displays his plaques and trophies -- chief among them his Grand Ole Opry membership award.  The avid collector also has an original beam from the Ryman Auditorium.

With such a unique collection, Josh admits he’s very careful about letting children in the cabin.  “There’s a lot of irreplaceable things, a lot of priceless things that you can’t put a value on or a dollar amount on,” he says.  “Obviously, children, they don’t understand that.”

Josh’s new CD Punching Bag, featuring his hit “Time is Love,” comes out June 12.
