Man Sent to Jail for Hacking Selena Gomez's Facebook Page

Facebook.com/SelenaGomezA 21-year-old British man who hacked into Selena Gomez’s Facebook page last year has been sent to jail for 12 months.

According to the UK’s The Sun, Gareth Crosskey posed as Selena’s stepfather in order to get Facebook to reset her password.

Crosskey posted “Justin Bieber sucks” on Selena’s page, and also contacted her stepfather, claiming he copied messages sent between the couple before they went public with their relationship. He said he also was in possession of emails exchanged by Selena and Demi Lovato.

Crosskey, who threatened to leak Selena’s private information, said he hacked the account in order to call attention to what he believes are security lapses on Facebook.
