Maroon 5 to Perform on "The Voice UK" Season Finale; Launches Fan Cover Contest

Press Here PublicityHaving their frontman Adam Levine serve as a coach on The Voice has given Maroon 5 a big promotional lift.  Now they're hoping the show will give the band a boost overseas.

Maroon 5 will appear on the season finale of The Voice UK next weekend performing their new single, "Payphone," the show's producers confirmed via Twitter.

Meanwhile, in other Maroon 5 news, the band is releasing a 10th anniversary edition of its first album, Songs About Jane, on June 5 and has announced a cover contest to promote the release. 

Fans can perform a cover of any song from the album, and upload a video of their performance via the band's website.  The videos will then compete against one another, tournament style in head to head brackets, with fans determining the winners via Facebook "Likes" and tweets.  Survivors of each round will have to upload additional covers to compete in successive rounds.  The grand prize includes a cruise for two and a copy of the deluxe Songs About Jane reissue.   The deadline for submissions is June 12.  For more information visit the band's website.
