Tyrese Gets Twitter Love from Oprah

Tyrese has a new fan: Oprah Winfrey.  The media mogul was impressed when she saw Tyrese perform in Atlanta at a birthday party for former United Nations Ambassador Andrew Young. 

"I had NO IDEA u were that talented," Oprah tweeted on Wednesday.  The Harpo exec had a front-row seat during Tyrese's performance, and according to his tweets, the pair "danced.. And danced the night away..!!"  In addition to giving Tyrese her unofficial seal of approval, Oprah also called him "A real POWERHOUSE," and promised, "[I'm] going now to download your music." 

Oprah certainly wasn't kidding.  The day after she gushed over Tyrese on Twitter, she sent him a message, writing, "listening [to] #3 Stay right now. U made the nite so fun."

"Stay" is a single from Tyrese's latest album, Open Invitation.  The disc arrived on shelves late last year.
