Justin Bieber Wanted for Questioning in Misdemeanor Battery Complaint

PRNewsFoto/HarperCollins PublishersTaking in a movie on Sunday turned out to be troublesome for Justin Bieber and girlfriend Selena Gomez.

The Los Angeles Police Department want to talk with the singer to get his side of the story after a photographer's claims that Justin roughed him up, TMZ reports. According to Sheriff's Lt. Robert Wiard, the photographer filed a police report stating he was involved in a scuffle with the pop star after attempting to snap photos of the couple as they departed a mall movie theater in Calabasas, CA.

The photographer called 911 complaining of chest pains.  He was later taken by ambulance to the hospital, examined and soon released.

However, according to witness accounts to the police, TMZ reports the paparazzo had been blocking Justin's car as the pop star and Selena tried to leave.  It wasn't until Justin exited the vehicle to ask the photographer to move that a scuffle took place.  Witnesses also state the photographer was approached and advised by someone who identified themselves as a lawyer who said there could be a potential payday as a result of the incident, and advised the ambulance and police report as a part of that process.

In a photo of the scene, the photographer was snapped leaning against a car while he and Justin face off looking pretty intensely at each other.  Things may have gotten out of hand as the singer is seen wearing a purple sneaker on one foot but only a striped green sock on the other foot.

Justin and Selena departed the scene before police arrived. So far, Justin's camp has not issued any statement.

Could be it's because Justin's already on route to Oslo, Norway for his #AllAroundTheWorld promo tour.  On Sunday, the singer updated fans on Twitter about his upcoming departure and hinted he could be performing several surprise shows while out on the road.

For what it's worth, Justin received boxing training from Mike Tyson a few days before the alleged incident.  Tyson tweeted a picture of the two together.
