Madonna Stitches Together "Express Yourself," Lady Gaga's "Born This Way" During Rehearsal

Madonna.comWhile Lady Gaga cancels an Indonesian concert due to security concerns, Madonna may use her upcoming concerts as a forum to perform a Material Girl and Mother Monster mashup. 

Whether it was an homage or a pointed dig went unstated, but Madonna is already on record as saying that Gaga's song "Born This Way" is "reductive" of Madonna's 1989 composition, "Express Yourself."  The Huffington Post reports that during a recent concert rehearsal in Israel, Madonna performed "Express Yourself," with a brief break section and sound of a motorcycle revving -- a Gaga trademark -- before seamlessly transitioning into Gaga's "Born This Way."

As if that wasn't clear enough, Madonna then seamlessly flipped back and forth between the choruses of both songs to further illustrate the similarities. She ended with a drum-driven remix of "Express Yourself" and chanted chorus of "Respect yourself...she's not me."  Ouch.
