Grammy Awards Set for February 10; Nominations Coming December 5

NARAS.orgWhile the Foo Fighters probably haven't even received the five Grammy statuettes they won in February in the mail yet, the next installment of the awards show -- considered to be the music industry's highest honor -- has already been scheduled. 

The 55th Annual Grammy Awards will be handed out at the Staples Center in Los Angeles and broadcast live on CBS Sunday, February 10, 2013. 

Also, The Grammy Nominations Concert Live!! -- Countdown to Music's Biggest Night special, during which the nominees in the major categories are revealed, will air on CBS Wednesday, December 5, 2012.

Despite the photos you see of artists holding their awards on Grammy night, they don't get to take those home, because they're props -- they don't have the actual winners' names or categories engraved on them.  The properly-engraved statuettes arrive later in the mail -- sometimes months later.
