Cee Lo Green to Guest Star in TV Land Sitcom "The Soul Man"

Primary Wave MusicCee Lo Green is taping a guest appearance on a  TV show whose title describes him to a T: The Soul Man.

Entertainment Weekly reports that the new series, debuting July 20 on TV Land, stars Cedric the Entertainer as Reverend Boyce, a former R&B star-turned-clergyman, and Niecy Nash as his wife.  Cee Lo will appear on a future episode as a rival preacher who steals congregants from Boyce's church with his flashy ways.

Last year, Cee Lo guest-starred as himself on an episode of NBC's Parenthood, and lent his voice to an episode of American Dad.  The Voice coach is also working on new music, plus a memoir, and preparing to launch his upcoming Las Vegas residency.
